Went to my cousin's Bridal Shower last night, and had a blast! Here are some photos of her favors made by the MOH and my crafty cousin, Yvette. She used the graphic I made her earlier, and used fans and tealights as favors for the guests. The theme was a cherry blossom, Asian Tea...
Here are some of the cranes that Yvette had folded on her own to add to the Asian Tea theme. Yvette did a FANTASTIC job of putting this party together, and I just want to say thanks for making sure we all had a good time! Shout out to Marissa (another bridesmaid) for being so good about running the activities too! Can't wait to see you all at the wedding next weekend!

M A Y A: A New Line of Reception Stationery
I have completed Maya'a wedding package and I've decided to add her design to my shop. Maya originally came to me with a really cute invitation design, so I designed these around that concept.
This is the design available in my shop on 5x7 inch Luxe Cream or White Cardstock.
The MAYA Programs are also printed on 5x7 cards. One-sided or Double sided.

The Tiffany Theme: Lori's Table Numbers
I love the Tiffany theme. The signature aqua blue and white combo always adds an elegant touch. Here are Lori's table numbers in Tiffany blue and double-faced white satin ribbon. This set is also available with a metallic silver layer. Lori opted for the blue/white combo. Everything is a heavyweight metallic cardstock.

Photography: Melissa McClure
I took a break from the hectic schedule that is my life, and saw a facebook status update that a new blog entry was up, so I checked it out, and loved the garden photos of Allana's and Sherwin's Engagement photos. Beautifully done by local photographer, Melissa McClure. Looks like she's been doing some traveling lately for brides all over the country, so please check out her work. She's awesome!!!

Shop Announcement
I wasn't sure if I should announce the following, but it's been so crazy trying to get all my June orders together, that I have fallen behind on some communication via etsy convos. So in case anyone (friends, customers, family) has been wondering why it takes me a couple days to respond, here's why.
Here is the annoucement I made in my shop today:
"It's that time of year!!! June weddings are on the rampage, so GE Designs is swamped at this time (loving it!). Doesn't mean I can't take new orders, but communication is a little hectic for me. So if you are a current customer, or prospective, please give me some time to respond. If you haven't heard from me in a timely manner (more than 48 hours since your last message), please drop me a new convo to put you at the front of my list for responses... I am currently dedicating Monday and Wednesday evenings to catching up on convos. Sorry for the inconvenience -- I am working at warp speed, so I promise, things will go back to normal really soon!!!!"
Now, I encourage any current clients to check in with me at any time for reminder messages. I know I'll have more flexibility in a couple weeks. But for anyone who's getting married after June, I will be back on track once the last June order is completed. Any notecard or greeting card orders, will be filled within a couple days (no changes there). Thank you all for your patience!

YVI: New Reception Stationery Collection
In honor of my girlfriend, Yvi, I've created this line of Table Numbers that are now available in my shop. Just a little background, I had put together Yvi's table numbers for her wedding last year, and so started the idea that GE Designs would go into the wedding business. This design is inspired by her as well, for a personal project that I am working on for her. She's always been supportive, full of ideas, and sending me emails and links for inspiration, so I owe a lot of my success to her. It took some messing around on my computer, but here's a new collection available to you! Thanks, Yvi!
The YVI menus are available in two styles. Or you can choose both! Matching escort cards and programs are also available.
YVI will be printed on Luxe textured heavy cardstock in either cream or white. There will also be the options to upgrade to the following:
-Layered (Pool cardstock, in shimmery metallic)
-Dual layered (Pool/brown)
-Layered/dual-layered with Ribbon
In case you're wondering, the color Pool is the Tiffany Blue cardstock available through Paper Source, or the Stardream metallic paper called Lagoon.

DEANNA: A New Line of Reception Stationery
I'm trying something a little new. Thanks to some inspiration from my bridal clients, I am setting up a new line of reception decor collections... Here is the first one... In honor of my mum. Here's DEANNA.
DEANNA will be printed on Luxe textured heavy cardstock in either cream or white. There will also be the options to upgrade to the following:

-Dual layered (pink/brown or pink/black)

If you want to personalize it with your own wedding colors, there will be a flat redesign fee of only $6.00. If you have the CMK or RGB codes, the easier it is for me to change it for you.

My New Item: Wedding Invitations
Invitations. It's an item that I never had in my inventory (where's the time?)... but thanks to some wonderful current and past clients, I may reconsider it. There are just so many talented designers out there, that I didn't think there would be room for yet another wedding invitation designer. So I've started out small... with a Save the Date every now and then. I can make them, I just don't advertise it yet.
Now, it's been a year since I've started this little business, and I think I'm ready to start adding invitations to my shop. So far, I've only done print at home, do-it-yourself invitations through the requests of some brides who bought monograms from me. It's so nice when girls ask me to help them with their invites, so I help where I can.... Here are a few that I've worked on for them to print at home. FYI, I had to scratch out last names for their privacy!
Below is Carolyn's invite set. It's still in the works, since she's finalizing some details, so this is for a pocketfold invite with 3 inserts...
I worked with Haley for a while now. I loved working with her. She's an NH Knottie (shoutout, girls!). And her invites were created for a pocketfold with 3 inserts. I actually ended printing these for her on my own printer (she ordered and sent the cardstock to me). You can see them on my flickr page.

Cynthia's been patient with me on her design. I loved that she knew exactly what she wanted (vintage roses, swirls, etc), so it took me a while to get it right, but here is her invitation portion to print at home...
I think when the May and June orders are completed, I will be working on some designs to post in my shop. So stay tuned!

Shairie's Wedding: It's finished!
I shipped out Shairie's completed order this morning! Yippie! I finished the last bow last night. I missed my projected deadline of Sunday night, but things happen, and fortunately, I was able to Priority Ship it to hopefully arrive by this Saturday. Congrats Shairie! She was so great to work with. She knew exactly what she wanted, and was so nice throughout the customizing process. I love my brides!
Anyway, here are a few photos of Shairie's Wedding Suite: Programs, Table Numbers and Menus.
Her table numbers are tented & double sided, with clear rhinestones randomly placed on each side...

Shairie's Wedding Preview
It's such a hectic time, and I feel bad that I haven't posted more finished projects this week. So I'm posting a little PREVIEW of an upcoming wedding. Shairie (http://www.thepissedoffbride.com/) has graciously hired me to do her programs and table decor for her wedding, which is only 3 weeks away. So now I'm dedicating my extra time to finish her order. This is her menu, which I got printed professionally, because she asked for a dark background with white writing. There was no way my own printer would make it look good... so I just received them yesterday, and they look fabulous on the 4x6 cardstock they used. I will be mounting it on 5x7 metallic ivory cardstock.
Here's a link to her finished package.
Here is the OUTSIDE of the programs I will be making for her. She chose a matte cardstock in chocolate and everything will be accented with raspberry colored ribbon and paper. The inside of the program will be printed on cream/ivory linen cardstock. I've been cutting the ribbon and working on the covers the last couple evenings. Once we finalize the content, off to the printer they go and the folding fun will commence. And of course, her Table Number design, with the love words/definitions theme. She wanted to go for a little hollywood glam, so these numbers will be embellished with clear rhinestones, and every piece of paper and cardstock is a shimmery metallic.
My goal is to get these done by this Sunday (all by my lonesome, but I will be bribing the hubbie to lend a hand on the tying and gluing)! Here's a link to her finished package.
