GE Wedding: My Wedding Stationery (Professional Photos)

Finally. Some cool professional photos came in from the wedding!  Here are my programs that I put together the night before we left for Cancun.

And a shot of one of my invitations that a guest brought.

And a couple shots of one of the "Placecards" I made for each guest.  These were based on my Crystal Clustered collection.  They were made double-sided, so that each guest across the table can see the name of that person in front of them.  LOL, yes, we only had 9 of us at the table, and they all knew each other, but I just felt like it would be a nice personal touch.

Now that I have access to the professional photos (taken by Matt and Jonathan of Del Sol Photography), I can start posting reviews online!

Jennifer and Samir

Jennifer asked me a while back to create these damask pieces for wedding, and her placecards were the first coordinating Crystal Clustered place cards that were posted in my shop.  Thanks Jennifer and congratulations!

NEW ITEM: Damask Crystal Clustered PLACECARDS

I guess I have been avoiding making this piece for a long time.  Since I came out with the Crystal Clutstered Table Cards, I knew that it was only a matter of time before someone would ask for coordinating pieces. My client, Jennifer (her post coming soon), was such a sweetheart, I was more than willing to give this a shot.

Now if you look closely at the photos in this post, you can count FOURTEEN, rhinestones on each placecard.  That's fourteen individually placed HotFix Rhinestones.  At first, each card took at least 5 minutes to put together.  So imagine using tweezers to place these tiny rhinestones and then heating up the rhinestones with my hotfix tool to adhere them.  Imagine doing at least 100 of these. Yikes.  Over time, I got the hang of it, so, after finishing this order, I decided to officially add this to my shop.  I have a good system down, and I say, bring on the orders! The price tag is $2.00 per card.  10% Discounts will be applied if you order 150 or more.

Now first thing you should know is that since it does take a little more time than the normal placecard order, I would need any names that need to be printed way in advance.  At least 3 weeks ahead of your event date. This is to make sure that I have the names printed at least 2 weeks before, and that will give me a LITTLE time to print, cut and adhere those rhinestone clusters on there.  It's probably better to make these placecards, and NOT escort cards. Why? Because escort cards will require you to know the table assignments of each guest, and if I am printing them, it will take time to get that information finalized.  But what if you want their table number in there??? Since this particular set is printed on white cardstock (the damask design), you can handwrite your guests' table # INSIDE each card.  Even if you choose a different color cardstock, it's still possible.

Personally, I LOOOOOVE the result. Anyone can have these little gems for their own wedding. The damask design is just one version of this, but I will do my best to create some other color samples to post in the shop.

Erica + Dan: European Sites

I love Erica's set of photo table numbers. There are 25 tables with 25 different cool sites in Europe, from the tower of Pisa to the Guinness Brewery.
With matching placecards for her guests.

If you choose to have a themed reception, your table numbers are the perfect way to express that theme, without it overwhelming the reception. Just a touch of your theme can go a long way, and give your guests a little extra something to notice at their table. You can even write a description of why those places are important to you. Whether you hire someone to do this for you, or you DIY, photos are a great addition to reception decor for that personal touch.

Jennifer and Thomas's Table Decor

Jennifer is getting married today! This was a rushed order, so I am soooo grateful to Mr. GE Designs for helping me this whole week! I'm so glad he's just as meticulous about the details as I am, or I wouldn't let him anywhere near my gluegun.

All the papers used in this project was from Paper Source, per Jen's request. Congratulations, Jen!

Kelli and Brian's Wedding Package

I'm back in full swing after this holiday weekend (it was also Mr. GE Design's Birthday!). I'm glad I took some time off from working, cuz now I'm completely rejuvenated to create!

Kelli commissioned me months ago to help her create some wedding stationery for her reception. What started out with one monogram turned into a suite of brown, pink and cream...

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

I'm taking a couple days off from paper labor this holiday weekend. It's been a super busy September already (and week one isn't even over yet!), but I got my orders out for mid-September weddings, so it's time to take a day or so to relax. Here are some photos of Sharon's eggplant and silver themed wedding items, for her wedding this weekend. Congrats to Sharon and Happy Labor Day to all!

Liz's CHANDELIER Menus

Liz has a rehearsal dinner in September and asked for 30 CHANDELIER Menus wrapped in personalized belly bands. The personalized belly bands is such a GREAT idea for the place settings. I'll be adding that item to my Etsy Shop soon (under Placecards)!!!!

Priscilla's Reception Package

Here is my last June Order as far as reception stationery goes. I had finally completed Priscilla's escort cards earlier this week for her June 27 wedding and here's the whole package to give you all a visual... Her table number theme was special cities that meant something to her and Jacob.
Placecards were "coded" with different styles and color combos indicating different entrees that each guests chose.

A matching Cocktail and Entree Menu...

And the PRISCILLA square programs... samples are available in my shop for purchase!
And as for my July and August brides, you orders will be next on my blog! I'm working feverishly to get it all done! I love my brides for being so great with me during this busy time. Have a wonderful weekend, and Congratulations to any brides getting married tomorrow, June 20, 2009.
