Sylena's Music Inspired Menus

Here is Sylena's Menu DIY file I created for her reception. Remember, when you decide to print your own wedding paper goodies, mess around with the printer settings (size, output, colors, etc) to ensure that you get the result you want. Use plain paper before printing on your cardstock.

Brenda and Anthony

I'm crazy in love with the Tiffany Blue themes of weddings. Brenda's colors are Tiffany Blue/Aqua and silver.
Here are her 5x7 Booklet Programs, without the metallic cardstock for the covers. She chose this monogram since it kinda looks like a damask chandalier. This was a last minute order, so I was only able to use the silver paper I had in stock... I'm happy they turned out so beautifully. Under normal circumstances, I can order almost any color request if I have at least 4 weeks notice to order enough supplies from my vendors.

LaKeisha and Lionel

It's finally here! LaKeisha's getting Married on the 26th, and we've been working together since April! LaKeisha's wedding suite was a joy to work with, because she gave me so much time to put it all together, we were able to come up with a beautiful package in gorgeous browns and burnt orange/coppers - a perfect look for an Autumn wedding.

Here's a screenshot of her last item -- a custom Seating Chart Design.

Bridesmaid Dress of the Month

I just wanted to share a wonderful personal experience with a clothing designer on Etsy. Isadora Clothing creates the beautiful "Chameleon Dress," for everyday wear, evening wear, AND for bridal parties. I just bought a dress and a top from her, and I absolutely LOOOOOOOOVE them! I was hesitant to purchase something without trying it on, but I received my dress and top, and wow, what great workmanship. I noticed that she had listing in her shop for Bridal parties, so I had to give her a shoutout on my blog and encourage anyone trying to go for a beautiful look for the wedding party, and for a dress that can TRULY be worn after the wedding, whether you go short or long. Anyone who has known me the past few years, knows that I am NOT a fan of dresses that are not store bought or are handmade by a family member or friend with no experience. My advice to brides -- do NOT have your bridesmaid dresses handmade, unless the seamstress does it on a REGULAR basis for other wedding parties, and if your girls can truly give you the time needed to go through the numerous fittings that takes them out of their own busy schedules.

That is why I loved working with Vanessa. You can't buy her dress in a department store or bridal shop, but she specializes in the dress line. It's VERY reasonably priced -- think of it as spending $150 on 7 dresses. You only need One measurement -- your dress length. That's it. You may get your girls together for a one time measurement, and send it over to Isadora Clothing, and expect a great dress that will look wonderful in the photos and you'll know the dress will NOT end up in the trash or at the Salvation Army after the reception.

Thanks, Vanessa, for my Chameleon dress AND my top! Here is the link to Isadora's Clothing tutorial with more information on how to wear the dress in different styles. She just came out with different hem styles, and I am ready to place a new order for the new "Sassy" cut!

Amber's Program

This week's posts will be full of my September 26th Brides...
First up, Amber. Here are photos of her PRISCILLA Square folder Programs in Eggplant and Antique Gold, with a custom monogram.

This photo below is the original sample I sent her with the YELLOW GOLD trim/ribbon, as opposed to the ANTIQUE Gold which she opted to use. Gold Leaf is also available.

Jennifer and Thomas's Table Decor

Jennifer is getting married today! This was a rushed order, so I am soooo grateful to Mr. GE Designs for helping me this whole week! I'm so glad he's just as meticulous about the details as I am, or I wouldn't let him anywhere near my gluegun.

All the papers used in this project was from Paper Source, per Jen's request. Congratulations, Jen!

Courtney's Table Numbers

Here's a set for Courtney, who's getting married today!
Thank goodness she lives locally to pick it up from me, since it was a last minute order. If you live in San Diego County, I MIGHT be able to squeeze in a SMALL Rush Order for Pickup or Priority Shipping (usually arrives next day).

Announcement: October is FULL

For any prospective brides out there getting married next month, GE Designs is fully booked and will not be able to take in new orders for the rest of October 2009. New Orders are being taken for November on. Seating Chart Orders are still being accepted for the last two weeks of October.

Thank you to all who has been complimenting my work and asking to be squeezed in, but I only have 2 hands (plus a couple more from Mr. GE Designs). I did my best to accomodate a few rush orders, but I need this time to finish some big orders for girls who booked me months in advance.

Jennifer's Art-themed Table Numbers

Jennifer sent me images of her favorite artists' works to incorporate into her Photo Table Cards. One of the great about these themed cards, is that she can take them and put them in her wedding scrapbook with photos of her guests at those tables! These are total keepers. Here is the eclectic collection from Van Gogh, to Monet, to Warhol.
My favorite -- Van Gogh's "Starry Night"... And to go along with the navy blue/green color scheme, I made her a couple hanging reserved signs.

Jami and Dan

Love is sweet for Jami and Dan! Her sister Brooke found me on etsy, and asked my help for some final touches to their reception area, with a few Crystal Clustered signs for their candy table, and somse Tags for the candy bar jars. And a couple Bride and Groom Signs that tie from the sides. Adjustable Straps as always...
